James Finley

James Finley has been working in HTML since 2001, and CSS & Javascript since not long after that. Working in PHP/mySQL, James builds custom solution CMSs, web apps, and other projects. Recently this has been done with the help of the Code Igniter PHP framework and jQuery Javascript library. Experienced in DOM scripting, even outside of jQuery, James pushes the bounds of Javascript, progressively enhancing the browsing experience.

    Coming on board right as the whole Responsive Web Design movement kicked off, built many sites from start to launch, working with the design team to implement strong, mobile-friendly design. Also much was done to improve the organizational workflow, utilizing Github for deployment and version control.

    With each of the sites above, development in SASS, HTML5, PHP5/CodeIgniter and more were done by James. With Downtown Naperville, James designed and implemented many page interfaces throughout, building and constructing powerful filters and social interaction with Facebook Connect.

  • Community Christian ChurchWeb Development Director

    Built a completely awesome new website that brings a brand new view of social interactivity to church websites and also brings a full online church system for running both live and prerecorded services. Honing his skills in AJAX, Flash, PHP and relational databases, this was one of his biggest projects yet.

  • Clear Channel Radio – Senior Online Content Manager

    Built an application for managing the office paperwork that covered everything from the sale of an ad to a client to the production and airing of the ad on the radio. Not only this, but was also largely in charge of the websites for two radio stations in Chicago.
